Lack of imagination is wrong, because they have plenty of imagination. It’s more that they prefer to color within the lines without questioning the lines themselves. Conservatives take the concept of Stay In Your Lane to its logical extreme.

I think it’s an intentional way to say that I’m Not Like Them. It’s a totally conscious way to say that You Are Your Own Person. I’d supposed to be effortless, but it comes off try-hard.
Fully agree. Part of it is that HBCUs are often asked to be jacks of all trades without the resources to do so. Most HBCUs have low enrollment numbers and endowments, yet are supposed to match larger, wealthier schools with their offerings.
Well, there is the infamous RU Screw. It’s gotten better, but it’s still pretty bad. Their issue is a large administration spread out through a city where the left hand usually doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. The one issue they fixed was how a student with the same major would have 3 different sets of…
I’ve heard that before. Also, apartments are popular options for student housing because they can get cheaper mortgages on those properties as opposed to proper dorms. The rationale is that if things got real, they could just kick the students out, and place the apartments on the open rental market. They can either…
I get the economic situation Issa is coming from. (Romantically is something else, but not because I’ve done better.) I was unemployed for a year and a half at one stretch, piecing together a living off of odd jobs and unemployment checks until I got my shit together. Life happens.
I’ll miss Lawrence, but I’m glad he’s gone. I’m wondering what Issa will be like without him, and the trailers make for some interesting decisions moving forward. I just hope we get some great character development out of this.
The stuff you prioritize in different parts of your life changes. I know I value all that cafe and restaurant stuff now than when I was in my 20s, where it was turn up, eat junk food, find someone for relations, then sleep. We all have our different priorities.
We’re still around B. We love what you’re doing, and please keep it up. We ain’t mad at you.
Agreed. While you have a job to do, it’s good to stop and realize what you’ve accomplished. I did that yesterday, and it makes me sit in awe, especially when you know so many people haven’t made it. I can’t say I got in on the ground floor, but at least I could jump out the window where I got in on and like…
You must be new. I AM a libertarian. I just have social skills and friends and even get laid from time to time. ;-)
Yes. Whenever the Bomb Squad needed something replayed, or they couldn’t find the right sample, Flav would jump in the booth with whatever instrument they needed and get it done.
I’m with 6, 7 and 8. MC Hammer has had an interesting life story even before the whole MC Serch hit thing. And there’s the fact that despite being bankrupt, he somehow never went completely broke, and real killer in Oakland respect Hammer. And there’s the whole sideplot about how the Oakland A’s bankrolled his label.
The sports stadium thing is actually a brilliant idea, considering that tax dollars could go towards other things...like roads. :)
That kinda happens with libraries as is. Books get challenged alldatahm. It’s sickening.
All this to stan for libraries? They’re definitely useful, but why should the government pay for them? Why shouldn’t people just donate what they can to support their community libraries?
Amen. The state should not be in the business of deciding life or death. He has a price to pay in prison. Let him do his time in peace, and hope he keeps up his work in living a better life. The government should not have this power. Leave him be as is.
Redman’s house was the rare one that wasn’t a rental. That was his actual house in Staten Island where he lived when not on the road. That he 1) got such an aggressively regular house and 2) that he actually lived there was hilarious.
That’s what I mean by pick-he. It's so try hard that any dude can see through it.
