$80k for an Expedition?

Hidden Valley hates you, too.

The US should just adopt Canada’s point/merit based system for immigration and call it a day..

Motorcycle helmets are usually 5 years or 1 crash/drop. Hockey helmets are 5 years as well. I’m surprised they allow football helmets up to 10 years with how many impacts they take.

Same goes for motorcycle helmets. The foam shell degrades over time, and safety standards test and certify to new materials only. The standards are always updating (DOT, Snell, ECE).

Help an Old Guy out, what does "pollitoooo" mean?

I really don’t think it matters what kind of helmet you have for an intentional hit like that.

I don’t agree. Private insurance is fine, as long as there’s no reduction in their contributions or a tax deduction for people who choose to go private.  You pay for M4A, and if you want to pay more to get platinum treatment, great.

I don’t remember ANYONE besides very young children liking Phantom Menace after seeing it, which the exception of the climactic lightsaber battle (even that was tainted by constant cuts to “let’s try spinning! woo hoo!” Anakin scenes).

I remember a handful of apologists trying really hard to rationalize how it wasn’t

Joaquin Phoenix was in his 20s, filming Gladiator in 1999.

I remember an Onion article at the time along the lines of “Nation’s Landfills Struggling to Deal With Jar-Jar Binks Merchandise”

The teaser poster had me so hyped! (The movie didn’t really live up to it...)

Or someone was a Cole Porter fan (here’s Marlene Dietrich singing Let’s Do It in a fabulous arrangement by Burt Bachrach):

I know it doesnt change the central point of the article- that the investigation into the Ferguson PD showed blatant corruption and that the town was using law enforcement as a revenue generator, mostly on the backs of poor blacks- but I still think it should be noted: the entire “hands up,. dont shoot”narrative that
