I think it’s just poor writing, but I think the author meant that the perpetrator threatened to harm if she told anyone what happened. Thatcan be treated as an additional crime.

Which laws are they breaking?
I was only familiar with Joann’s because the small town I grew up in has one, and that’s where my mom would shop (she’s an epic seamstress).
Thanks for the “advice”. I already feed her high grade dog food, and her diet isn’t the issue and her health is outstanding (per the vet, which I trust a lot more than some rando on the internet that knows absolutely zero about my dogs). Thanks again for the useless advice!
Do you have a Joann’s anywhere nearby? I’ve taken classes there, and they were awesome.
One of my dogs prefers to sleep curled up right by my head. Often, this means I sleep with her butt right by my face...and she has ATOMIC farts. They are so bad that I’ve actually seen the vet about them, and apparently it isn’t medical based on the tests. The farts are so bad they wake me up from a dead sleep...they…
I don’t blame Selena for ignoring advice from a mom who is willing to throw her own daughter under the bus on freakin’ Twitter.
Am I the only one who is tickled by the “pubic” typo in the article?
The line about the dogs being outside during the evening jumped out at me as well as terrible advice. There are many breeds that are not safe outside for extended periods of times, and plenty of other breeds that are escape artists by nature. Not only that, but it would be psychologically cruel to the dogs - they…
I love this response.
Twilight.
Actually, you’re pretty much incorrect. You’re conflating two issues: dismissal based on recreational drug use vs. medicinal drug use.
Interestingly, the initial case in Oregon that set the case law that made it legal for an employer to terminate an employee that tests positive for marijuana use was a medical marijuana case. The courts in Oregon ruled that because it was illegal at the federal level, the employer had the right to terminate the…
This may not actually turn out to be the case. For example, the Providence hospitals banned cigarette use in Alaska. The courts there actually ruled that an employee could be terminated for testing positive for nicotine use - even though, nicotine is perfectly legal in the form of cigarettes.
It varies from state-to-state based on how the courts have ruled. For example, in Oregon it’s possible to be fired for testing positive for weed even though it’s legal in the state. The issue is that it is still illegal at the federal level. You can also be denied benefits, etc.
From what I read online, he’s apparently dropped 70lbs as part of his story line for the next season, and it’ll be about struggling with whether he killed two people. I’m re-watching the first two seasons now, and in Season 1, he’s the good guy that we were supposed to root for...and then at the end he just loses his…
Well, that’s depressing as hell that Jeremy is coming back.
I was kind of hoping that was just re-used clips from season 1 or 2? There were a few other moments I noticed were re-used from the prior seasons, so fingers crossed that scene with Jeremy (which, totally jumped out at me as well) was also a re-used clip.
Is there a way for something to be legitimately notarized without a signature present? It’s been a while since I dealt with notarized documents on a regular basis, so maybe I’m missing something.
It’s actually based on a book of the same title.
