I know two people who used to work for them, and they are...interesting. They tend to hire suuuuuuper unqualified people for pretty senior canvass/campaign positions (for example, my friends were straight out of college, zero political experience and was hired straight into an assistant campaign director position -

Thanks for sharing this! I just signed up, and spent a bunch of money on Etsy finding awesome stamps (my artistic skills are worse than a baby’s.) to decorate the postcards with. So, now I’m all geared up and ready to go....but, have to wait for my supplies. But, when they get here, I’ll be joining you in the

Have you tried Sumissura?

Have you tried Sumissura? They are made-to-order/customizable, and are great quality albeit a tad on the spendy side. I have a trench coat from them that fit wonderful (I’m plus size). They take a few weeks to produce the item (usually about 3 weeks), so it’s not going to get to you quickly - but, it’s worth the wait

The problem, of course, is that not everything is available via Google Express - at least, in my area. Only non-perishables are available via Google Express, which is helpful, but tons of good shit at Costco is perishable.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought the headline was saying Knox was writing from the grave.

Defensive much?

While uncommon, the parents don’t actually have to press charges for charges to be filed. There are instances of the DA’s office choosing to press charges over the objections of the parents of both children.

I saw it commonly on international flights, up until about 5 years ago (I stopped flying coach then, so I’m not sure if it was still happening later). I could see it being an international vs domestic flights thing. I asked numerous flight attendants (each on different flights) about it after someone mentioned it to

This is why I have two dogs and no children.

Most (western) airlines actually alternate between starting at the back or the front of coach for meal service each direction on a route. So, they may actually start with you at the back sometimes. According to a flight attendant, their airline determined whether to start from the front or the back based on whether

Almost all American employees are “at will” though.

Being wrong is the opposite of true, as in false

Kansas and Minnesota both require a Bachelor’s. Most other states require an associate’s degree, or a 3-year diploma program that is practicum-based. Many states also have a low ceiling regarding the level of responsibility one can have without a Bachelor’s or Masters.

I think the real issue the author was trying to make (poorly) is that you might be watching the kid solo while your partner is gone, but you aren’t really parenting solo since you still have financial and emotional support.

Nursing isn’t a certificate in all states - it’s a BA degree in some (like mine). An MA program still takes like half a year, and costs far more than $800. You might consider actual reality next time.

This is solid logic.

There is a city nearby that uses impounded vehicles from drug busts - so, they have all different cars, including a fucking VW bug and pick-up trucks.

This is the start of that process. The courts can’t just reach out and overturn laws - they need a court case to rule on the constitutionality of the law. A legislative body can pass any law it wants. If that law is unconstitutional, it has to be challenged in court to be nullified.

Actually, hotel maids CAN be paid similarly to waitstaff. Some hotels pay the maid per room, and then (like waitstaff) are supposed to make sure their rate equals out to minimum wage at the end of the week or pay period.
