As a game designer, this really pisses me off sometimes - some reviews of games complain about them being too short, and then you have ones like this, which complain about how much better the game would be if shorter.

While I agree, and this is probably the case, I do think Valve should make a statement on this matter, especially if it was their decision to remove the game. If EA is painting them into a corner on this issue, they should call them out on it so that EA can get blamed appropriately.
It's more a space thing: I have a Gamecube, but I'm running out of ports on my TV and receiver - I don't want to have 30 game systems in my entertainment center, backwards compatibility means I don't have to drag out my GC every time I want to play a GC game.
Admittedly they were offering a chance to win a 55" TV, and on a game journo's salary, that's a pretty tempting offer.
That's total crap! The Wii runs the same processor as the gamecube, so if the Wii U can play Wii titles (either via software or hardware) it can run Gamecube titles. Granted they'd have to put in memory card ports and controller ports, but they could virtualize both via a software layer and the classic controller for…
It might not have been in that trailer, but if you look at the press release from Paramount that came out a few days ago, you'll see that Paramount officially announced it as coming to those 3 platforms.
People are worrying way too much. It's basically a wiimote with a screen, and the raw cost of a 6" touchscreen is around $5. One of these things would probably cost more than a wiimote, but they could probably sell them for around $60 apiece, which would make 4 pretty expensive, but adding a second one would be…
Actually, there *will* be a PC version - it's tri-platform: PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 :)

Man, that is such a shitty mockup. Why would Nintendo design a console to look like the North American version of the NES? The homage would be entirely lost on Japan, and like it or not, Nintendo cares about pleasing Japan far more than they care about NA.
I hate how the game is being billed as a "PC Eater" - I have it running on my 2 year old gaming laptop with MOST of the settings cranked to max.
It may be so, but it's still ultimately up to the buyer to determine what an acceptable price point is - Sony is just taking guesses as to waht we'll pay.
Still too expensive. I haven't bought a 3DS and I'm not buying an NGP until the price of either comes down.
LOVE the art style - the large detailed sprites are straight outta Arc System Works's vibe, and if they're actually doing a Metroidvania style game instead of just a linear game, I may actually have to pick it up, and play it alone, where no one can see my secret shame.
The promise of closed platforms, mostly.
This x1million - it's always driven me crazy how hard it is to get together with my friends to play an MMO (WoW, I'm looking at you) because they're all on different servers. I never understood why they charge for this service (outside of 'because they can'), and I applaud Rift for making it free.
It was a great place to work, and I worked with some amazing people, and I can't wait for the game to come out - I'm literally excited to play it even after spending a little over a year of my life on it.
I used to work at ArenaNet and I can verify that every concept artist that works there is just as amazing as Levi. The walls of the ANet offices are literally covered in printouts of concept art pieces, and they're simply amazing - it made walking into work every day a real treat. Check out the Art of Guild Wars 2…
Well the emulation quality of FPSE, the best PSX emulator for the Xperia is decent, but still not up to the level of the Sony emu. FPSE chugs badly when you turn on screen smoothing, so with that off everything looks too sharp and things like fonts become somewhat jagged (they were meant to be fuzzed by the TV…
Yeah, nobody's buying them - because they're all mediocre. Wild Arms? Syphon Filter? Medievil?
