My argument with my significant other who trends liberal, and my uncle who trends conservative is exactly the same: if you boycott a product because of the politics of an owner of a company you would end up boycotting every product in existence that is publicly traded. Tesla could credibly claim to be different in its infancy but for years now it’s been more or less a regular car company”

Ten years later.

Five years from now:

The fact that all auto makers stopped offering small trucks for the U.S. market, tells you that everyone misunderstood the buying public. I guess when you consider how popular big trucks are (even though more than 90% of owners don’t need them), I could potentially see how execs were fooled.

“We can’t keep up with the demand for a reasonably-size, reasonably-priced pickup!” All the manufacturers (including Ford): “Quick let’s make more oversized, overspec’d $60-80K trucks because that is where the profit is!”

No decompression at 700 feet off the ground with the landing gear down.

700' altitude is likely not high enough to warrant. I know the reports say people we’re passing out, but at 700' that’s not from thin air.

I was the first jumper in the door on a C130 once at 1,000 ft. Wind was not that bad.

The whole ordeal could have been much more damaging and deadly if it was higher up.
