Slow day for car news?

Yeah! Stop talking about the largest car manufacturer by market cap, by triple number 2, on this car website!

can’t decide if this is this another episode of TDS (Tesla derangement syndrome) or MDS (Musk derangement syndrome). - seriously, you guys have said your peace, everyone gets it, you hate Tesla/Musk... move on already

You’d think Jalopnik, being absolutely covered in paid advertisement, would recognize something that isn’t. Just another media company trying to get clicks from drama instead of providing valuable content.

Not everyone, in the US or in Europe. If you live in the city a small hatchback is great. Fitting big stuff into tiny parking spaces and garages sucks. One of the reasons GM will sell around 80,000 Bolts this year.

Can’t you buy it out of the lease?

After having one in my driveway for six years now, I can confirm that the looks grow on you. So much so that when it’s time to get a new car for the wife I’m keeping the Bolt. It’s just too good at what it does to get rid of, especially now that it has a new battery and 7.5 years of warranty left.

I second this. I’ve got a 2018 Model 3 with HW3.0 retrofit and FSD Beta. Absolutely phenomenal on the highway. On city streets, just pretend you’re the parent of a teenage driver: usually things are good enough, but just keep a watchful eye because they’re still learning the edge cases.

I own a model Y with FSD.

It’s even worse in Florida

Starts at $34k+? I feel like they price these just to push people into an F-150.

That’s not a riot, that’s a failure of civic institution (or a success of systematic disenfranchisement I suppose.) I would argue riots have ostensible political causes or goals. This is what it looks like when communities and their constituent families don’t have time or money to raise kids, nor institutions to

You misspelled “sarin.”

Hell of an ad for this business though:

That’s not a street takeover, that’s a riot.

...and you can bet that neither driver was on the radio whining “he touched me!”

Can I interest you in a used Chevy Bolt? I love mine a lot and it sounds like exactly what you're looking for

Bolt EV <$20 with rebate. Perfect daily grocery getter. Had 2 and they were great.

Chevy Bolts are absolutely killer applications for that, starting at $27k with 250 miles of range and 200hp. That has been our usage - daily driver, doing everything but the road trips - for the last 4 years and it’s been great. My larger gas car only did 2,000 miles in the last 12 months as a result.

My local Hyundai dealer has just 7 Elantras.”
