Normal people would give up and go through their own insurance and let them worry about it.

I’m guessing the driver accepts the GPS as unquestioned authority and follows its commands, despite what her lying eyes tell her.

The question is: Can you lubricate it fast enough that it does not seize after just a few minutes running?

They probably looked at how much the auto manufacturers were making from their finance divisions and decided they wanted in on some of that.

It probably depends on whether the owner is a biker or an office worker who had their midlife crisis during the pandemic.

Its a Jeep thing you wouldnt underst.... wait nm.

“Got out the next morning, and it wouldn’t go anywhere, it would just start up, die, a lot of white smoke blowing out the back of it,”

A room where people who are delayed can take their anger out on disruptive passengers (with padded bats)* would be a Shark Tank investment proposition.

Some people just need to get beat up once in a while to give their Narcissisms a check. Though I am glad it ended peacefully.

Truck “design” has gotten world-class stupid lately. It is the reason used and classic truck values keep climbing.

Rural eastern Oregon, ICE fires at least twice a year reported in the local paper, and I live in a town of ~6K.
If I’ve got concerns over EVs, it’s not due to any higher likelihood of a vehicle generated fire, but always glad to know that a manufacturer is taking steps to avoid a self-inflicted failure.

Seriously - don’t we remember when Ferrari, Lamborghini and VW all used to catch on fire randomly?

I’ve seen gasoline car fires several times. Shoot, I’ve help put them out a couple times. Not saying that EV fires are complex, but a gasoline car fires can be a pain too.

This is exactly it. There are plenty of things about Bezos that warrant condemnation without having to make things up or exaggerate facts.  The bridge situation was entirely blown out of proportion because it seemed like an easy thing to be outraged about.

When you buy something, you don’t ask the builder/manufacturer all the steps going into having it delivered to you. I am sure he was made aware of the situation at some point, obviously. But I highly doubt when he went to buy it/commission it, the bridge issue was really thought of.

Aside from the fact that he wanted the town where his yacht was built to dismantle a historic bridge to movie it,...”

It’s not that they don’t have billions, they just don’t have it in cash, therefore, it’s impossible to pay taxes on it (or at least anyone to understand how it is possible). I’d be shocked if more than 25% of adults understood that it actually is possible to tax forms of wealth that are not just cash income or

Standard Oil would like to have a word with your alternate history.
