Uh, what? This smells like bullshit to me.

My Chevy Bolt uses about 29Kwh to drive 100 miles.
I pay .25 per Kw to charge at home. That’s $7.25 for 100 miles.

My gas car gets about 22 mpg combined, for 100 miles that’s 4.5 gallons @ $4/gal = $18 in regular gas for 100 miles.

Your comment is the most wrong. If you like simplicity and no clutter, then their interiors are the best. And I find their seats to be great and very comfortable. And the materials are good quality as well... just not flashy.

quality is always subjective, for instance I see Tesla’s quality in the capabilities and feature set. Batteries with long ranges and low degradation over time, vehicle top speeds and acceleration that are literally unmatched in their price brackets, and they maintain their resale value much better than most other

I would have used “fornicated”

A woman...slept with a man in his vehicle in late 2017. In early 2021, she found out she had contracted HPV [emphasis mine]

I hated the Yoke at first and wished it came with a regular steering wheel. I hated more that the turn signal was on the yoke instead of a stalk.

I have a X Plaid and had a reservation for an iX but cancelled the iX for the X Plaid instead.

Given that the rescue team that sees this situation regularly completely expected a recovery operation, I suspect they would disagree.

in the case of rollovers the Model Y is best in class thanks to physics. the issue with most SUVs and rollover is the raised center of gravity but with heavy batteries slung under the car and no engine at the front to tilt it the center of gravity in any EV SUV is far lower. you might actually have a better chance

This article, which was written on the heels of an article from the Atlantic, seems to be written with a false premise- that somehow US automakers are ONLY making huge, behemoth EVs. That is so far from the truth its ridiculous that an automotive journalist versus me wouldn’t at least do the slightest amount of

Yep. My VW GTI has camera based automatic brake assist, and it doesn’t take a whole lot of active snowfall before it notifies me that the system is deactivated due to the camera not having a clear enough view. Stuff like that reinforces my agreement that Tesla is simply allowing a lot more risk with their automation

Imagine any of those people using FSD ;)

Here was my view while going to lunch today. I can see autonomous tech making big strides in warm climates over the next decade, but here in MN, it’s going to take a minute.

Things that concern me when driving in the snow: People who’ve never driven in snow. People with 4wd who think it makes them invincible.  Truck bros with lifted trucks finally getting a chance to put it in 4wd. Idiots with summer tires... I could go on. People using FSD is not one of them.

It might be better because people will learn their lesson and this shit airline will change or die.

I agree with your final conclusion, but I think the Tesla price drop is mostly because the early EV adopter market is reaching saturation. (also due to Elon/Twitter/Chaos, but I think it’s mainly market forces).

1st: EV demand surges as gas prices surge. EV demand declines when gas prices come down.

That is because government production mandates have gotten out of hand. They require all new vehicles to come with back-up cameras now, which is absurd. The days of mandating common sense safety features like seat belts and ABS have given way to inflating prices by $3k-$5k by essentially mandating all cars have

Considering the average transaction price on new cars these days, it would be nice if they’d make ANY affordable cars. There are currently just 9 cars on the market that start under $20k. Most of them are subcompacts, and you’ll be lucky to find them on an actual lot.

I don’t know the specifics of Milwaukee, but being familiar with Chicago, I don’t have reason to doubt what you say.

The ‘food deserts’ in Chicago are largely areas that have homicide rates on par with active civil war zones. When the West Garfield Park Aldi closed last year, activist journalist types bought in to the
