That is an issue that needs clarification. And I doubt that was the intention of the law. Hopefully the courts will decide.

The answer is no. The repo man is not a threat.

So you cite a couple of outliers. The Bolt takes so long because it has a seriously limited charge. Even at level III. I suspect that is the case in the other models you cite.

They needed to open the door and toss him out to the tarmac. And leave him there stunned and bleeding.

With a high output level III charger? Name one.

Those old VW type 3s and Porsche 914s. The battery box was right above a bank of cylinders. The corrosive excrement of those old style batteries would drip down on the rubber elbows connecting the fuel injectors. There was a recall and a repair kit issued.

Not steered with a rudder. Ships and airplanes have rudders. It was steered with a tiller.

“... but one figures it’s still not a pleasant experience for the cows.”

I once made a short hop from Cleveland to Chicago on an L-1011. There were only five passengers including me. That airplane seems even bigger when empty.

And it would add weight.

I knew a family acquaintance that owned two dealerships. Cadillac and Chevy/Buick. He told me the profit centers were parts, used cars and F$I. The new cars sales were to get them in there and the service department was to keep ‘em happy and coming back.

Substantially higher overhead for the dealer in the city?

But they will insist on paying under MSRP.

Price of the car? About $13,000 cheaper than my previous car. A Q50 hybrid. At $39,990 my Tesla was less that the national average for a new vehicle..

I call BS on that. Extra two hours? Where did you gat that number?

You may change your tune as you get older. What do you do? Pee in an empty Gatorade bottle? I enjoy a more leisurely trip. In comfy seats. With autopilot. I’m 71 years.

Tesla premium connectivity. ~$100 per year. A whole year. It amazes me that there are Tesla owners out there that have spent between $40K and up to $100K or even more for the plaid and consider this a rip-off.

For those rare occasions that I need iHeart radio I just stream it with bluetooth from my phone. Can control play/pause and volume from my steering wheel.

Meh. I am a dyed in the wool Apple guy. I had carplay on my short lived (6 mos.) 2020 Nissan Leaf. Honestly not impressed. Don’t miss it one bit on my Tesla. The Tesla has an excellent NAV system if you have the premium connectivity. And a pretty good one without. Also includes an Apple music app built in. Calendar

45 minutes? Where do you get that number. I went from Milwaukee to Minneapolis (335 miles) with two stops to “refuel”. Tesla M3 SR+ (standard range). The first was at a Culvers which has pretty good burgers and the second at a Panera restaurant for a scone and a coffee. About 20 minutes each.
