My 2014 Infiniti Q50 hybrid had DAS (Direct Adaptive Steering) which is drive by wire steering. Infiniti has the first and still the only such system in a regular production car. There is no physical connection between the steering wheel and the steering rack.

Apparently the author is not aware of the difference between Autopilot and Full Self Driving. Autopilot is standard on all Teslas now and works pretty well. Full Self Driving is a work in progress and is of questionable value in its current state. Who doesn’t know that?
