Great points. I really don’t understand why anyone would draw parallels to Daniel Bryan’s early time in WWE as though it were a positive example. Neither Daniel Bryan nor Bianca Belair should be required to overcome deliberate sabotage by their own employer.

Totally agreed that the last match is the main event. However, when you’re talking about a two night show, while the match that goes on last on night one isn’t the main event, it’s pretty much the semi-main event that would typically be placed two matches before the main event on a one night card (with a short cooldown

I’d say “huh, who knew?”, but apparently I was the last to know.

I was at that Wrestlemania, for the next several hours throughout the stadium, they kept chanting Daniel Bryan’s name more than anyone on that roster.
There is no one in that roster currently that is loved to that level, but Vince keeps burying talent hard for some sort of desperate move that makes sense only to him

There’s a Razor’s edge joke in there that should fit into this comment :D

A better example of wrestling racism would be the character Wright played before the Godfather...voodoo practitioner Papa Shango.

While I certainly do believe that Vince is a racist who has practiced racist ways...This is more a weird case of “So horrible at booking now that it crosses over to hate crimes and Geneva codes”.
Vince really is that clueless and stupid, CM Punk just came back to the loudest pro wrestling crowd in the last decade, and

In fairness, dude who played the Godfather moved onto his second career as a successful manager of strip clubs who smokes all the weed.

“it’s deflating to invest yourself in a character that WWE will toss aside in a heartbeat. “

You're pretty cavalier about war crimes.

Is WWE racist? Yes.

I give the inmate a pass; if you think about it, dude doesn’t have a lot of options re what to do with his day, people on the outside doing this however, need to have several seats.

I like Wale, but come on man. My personal criteria:   Skills, sales, have at least one legit classic album ( no mixtape full fledge album), cultural relevance or you are highly respected by peers. For the older people, Jay-Z, Nas, Biggie, Tupac (off top of my head) all fill that criteria. New school, I would say

Oh. I was worried it would galvanize the anti-vaxxers even further because 1 prominent vaccinated person still dying from Covid would be “proof” that either the vaccines don’t work, or that they make Covid worse.

He’ll be fine. He’s vaccinated, after all.

Tis truly is a shame that I’m only allowed to issue 1 star for your brilliant post.

As a dude with kids and a pool, “harrowing ordeal” and “a parent’s worse nightmare” seems just a touch over-dramatic.

I’m a wrestling fan myself, and you hit the nail on the head with Punk.

I think he saw it as a challenge and a nice payday. He wasn’t in a position to work a part-time schedule like Brock Lesnar or Goldberg. He wasn’t making $20m a movie like The Rock. Hell, he wasn’t even the highest paid full-time star on the roster w

Don Cheadle is patient as a saint.
