As stupid as him not getting vaccinated is, let’s not be silly. Wiggins was really good for the Warriors last year. Finally started living up to his monster defensive potential. By far the best he ever shot the ball. Will never be confused for some kind of point forward, but wasn’t a total ball-stopper.

The Warriors

Later on in the episode, we also hear the phone call that Biles made to her mother prior to withdrawing from the team final.

Agreed. That move massively upgrades their defense, upgrades their transition game, is at worst a net zero in ballhandling/playmaking, and gives them a potentially terrifying jumbo lineup with four 6'10+ former All-Stars (Simmons, Durant, Aldridge, Griffin) that can all handle, pass and shoot.

If Kyrie misses every Nets home game because of his refusal to get vaccinated, Brooklyn doesn’t have a chance in hell of winning an NBA championship this season.

That’s...all NFL teams

Nothing is different about the Chiefs other than some bad luck in tiny sample sizes. They’ll be fine.

Anything streaming is blocked on my work computer, but I can only assume that link has Paul Anka’s guarantee.

Anyone can be a “journalist these days.

There’s someone who manages farm output for Black Google? Weird.

I’d take a limited Ben Simmons over his ass because his shit is tiresome

In addition to just coming off as gross in this particular example (and I can’t stress again how much that I belive both The Root and Shanelle Genai very obviously did not intend anything pro-Kelly by it), it’s just hackneyed. It comes off as something between TMZ-ish and just old-timey newspaper writing. I remember

Yep.

A text I sent to my NBA-watching friends this week: “What NBA star do you think is most likely to retire in their prime instead of getting vaccinated, and why is your answer Kyrie Irving?”

I laughed.

I saw that I’d somehow starred that post and I have no idea why or how. Whoops.

That’s all true and great, and not a single bit of it makes him the “greatest athlete.”

“possibility,” that’s adorable

Yeah, I caught that too. It’s a good thing for Cawthorn that the GOP no longer bothers with avoiding saying the quiet part out loud, because if they were still supposed to, he’d definitely be too stupid to remember which part is which.

I’m cool with taking in Madison Cawthorn’s argument about how a simple public health measure is “modern day segregation,” but only if he handwrites the whole thing.

Right, but having a vaccination card without an ID to match it to doesn’t mean shit. (I witnessed this argument take place at the entrance of Riot Fest last weekend and it was hilarious to see the realization on the face of the ID-less person why their vax card alone didn’t cut it)
