I guess the US is starting to rub off on Canada. I bet the rest of the world is saying Canada, this isn't like you, ever since you started hang out the United States, you've changed. Look what the US did to Mexico, you don't want to end up like that.

I know there was one instance of a Canadian man living in China who had a daughter with his Chinese girlfriend (they got married shortly after the birth). The kid couldn't get Chinese citizenship because they weren't married, and couldn't get Canadian citizenship because he wasn't born in Canada and thus couldn't pass

Its goal was to create a word independent of men, because it can be seen as the word men is the norm and the women is just based on men as the norm.

Please pardon my ignorance, but does the "y" in womyn signify something specific? Is it just an alternative to the -man or -men spellings or is there more to it?

I'm in! I'd like to suggest we let one of my teenage sons test it out first. I've learned from some of their injuries you can get them to do pretty much anything (except cleaning) with a dare. And it somehow always involves a skateboard and playground equipment.
