If I prevented you from selling your services to anyone else for a higher price, then it’s ill-gotten. Otherwise, it’s a fair price.

The answer depends on whether or not you’re the one keeping that person from having money. Are you the one barely letting them live, El Presidente? Or are you the foreign industrialist who is saving their kid by offering them a job?
Wow, seriously? This can’t be permanently turned off? That’s insane. That would be a non-negotiable for me - I would never buy a car with auto start-stop that can’t be completely disabled.
Their wealth comes from investing, which you know, powers the economy, creates jobs. The more jobs there are, the more non-wealthy people are needed to fill them. Getting a job, and then another job, is the path to higher pay...
Slave labor? If so, the gains would be ill gotten. Paying people a wage they’ll accept to do work voluntarily, it’s hard to consider that ill gotten.
With respect to the ~50% of wage earners who don’t pay income tax, there are a very number of them. Taxing them even a little would generate large amounts of revenue.
The problem in the US is that too many people pay little or no tax.
The threshold for the tax is tens of millions of dollars, but thanks for the scare tactics.
It would only tax people with $1 Billion in assets, or people who show $100 Million in capital gains for three consecutive years.
Looks cool - but Honda completely lost me at “DCT”. They’re trying to push DCTs really hard for some reason, but being able to precisely control how the engine’s power translates to thrust at the rear wheel is critical on a motorcycle, especially off-road.
You need more than 670hp?
Yep. For me, when the Z06 was announced as N/A, it became a giant shrug for me. Meh?
When’s the last time you drove a rental car more than 250 miles, though? I’m betting most customers never bother with a charger.
Doesn’t Tesla’s touchscreen UI have a functionality to route you to your destination with stops at Tesla superchargers along the way as needed? This is a non-issue IMO.
I can see it working if you expect to drive just a few miles during a business trip and just never need to recharge. I expect that a typical business trips are unlikely to unexpectedly result in much more mileage than anticipated, so it could work from that perspective (if you know you’ll just go airport, to hotel-offi…
I’m SURPRISED the E90 is even on the list. How is the S65 engine compared to the S85 in terms of expense and reliability? Because I know, first hand, the E60 M5 is not a sustainable vehicle to own or drive before you run out of money.
A Geo Tracker. This was in Hawaii (Big Island) many years ago. I was there for a month (I had a gig where I could work from anywhere) and didn’t want to pay normal car rental company prices, but I found a local guy who rented cars. The Geo was just AWESOME for the Big Island. Tiny, light, 4WD, with manual, and…
Putting a fundamentally compromised (by very restrictive regulations) F1 engine into a car like this seems... strange. All that, just so the owner can claim they have the same engine as Lewis Hamilton? If I were in the market for a car like this, I’d certainly want to have F1-level light weight, handling, and…
I think not yet :( I posted a comment on another article a bit earlier in the day, and I’m still gray. And I have been commenting on Jalopnik since I think 2008 or so, before Kinja, and with the really old-school design!
Any news on VR support in GT7? If it can be played in VR, that would for sure make me go buy the PlayStation VR headset (well, and a PS5 to hook it up to).
