I don’t often agree with a lot of what Mr. Harriot writes. I enjoy reading his articles, and he is far more talented than his colleagues, but he is one of the most pessimistic major writers on race I’ve come across.

You didn’t read the article—there has to be evidence that they were engaged in those activities to use those terms.
The other thing that bothers me about this article is the notion of victimhood it puts on her. She was CA AG, a US Senator and now Vice President. Give her some agency. In the big leagues there are big challenges for every player—if she succeeds, it’s due to her efforts. If she fails, she wasn’t equal to the…
You can’t ignore the Biden Administration’s unforced errors—they’ve made a lot of pretty basic mistakes that they didn’t need to.
Unfortunately, the Vice President is an overly cautious career politician, and as you point out, she’s never really been tested or had to deal much outside of the cocoon of like-minded California politicians. She has a lot of experience, but it’s not in rough and tumble politics. That shows. On the other hand, maybe…
I think he did her a favor (whether he meant to or not). I hadn’t heard of her, but now I looked her up. I thought the short clips I saw were pretty funny. You can’t buy that kind of advertising.
I’d be a lot more impressed with the NBA’s commitment if a material number of NBA players had come from HBCUs...
W. Cummings is an interesting choice—the demographic data on who’s watching the show must suggest that she would be more popular than a black guest host.
Wake up—that’s what most of the establishment Democrats do. They have “black friends,” come election time, but they don’t advocate for policies that would actually help black people (and they certainly don’t live in black neighborhoods!) the rest of the year.
I always liked Wheeler Dealers, but the economics never make sense. After they chase all over England to buy a car, and then invest weeks of work and money into fixing it, they sell for a profit of 75 to 100 pounds.
Good point—your past writing (even internet blogging) is your resume. And if you have a typo on your resume, we’re likely not hiring you.
happens a lot here
Writers should have enough pride in their art to proof read their own work, regardless of whether its for fun, for subsistence, or for profit.
The fact that this is a union shop explains a lot of the writing. In my experience, unions do a good job of protecting the bottom third of their members from the consequences of being sloppy.
You’re blinded by your philosophy. Hard work and education will get you a financial successful life, if you are somewhat judicious in your choice of education, cost, and work (i.e. don’t take on $100k in debt in a field that won’t reward that investment). And education doesn’t mean college only—electricians, plumbers,…
C’mon, you know he’s right. This isn’t about a mistake, it’s about a pattern of errors.
Well said, sir!
The Caribbean? Unless you’ve got lots of money, that is not where you want to live, my friend. And you’ll still have problems getting into your highly secure gated community without hassle.
This is a real question, not a troll. It deals with the medical treatment of gender dysphoria.
The individual leaked company information to the press. That’s a whole different thing than advocating internally for a different policy. When she decided to do that, regardless of her race and pregnancy, she painted a big target on herself. Assuming she actually did it, Netflix likely will prevail in any action she…
