When you agree to be an actor in theater, you accept certain infringements on your privacy. It is the nature of theater venues that private dressing rooms are typically not available to anyone but the stars of the show, and opposite genders crossing through large dressing areas is a common occurrence not much remarked

I’m surprised they only put in a 6.5mm Creedmoor with a 10 round magazine. That’s a mid-size target/hunting round.  The low capacity also makes it clear this is a sniper dog.

That’s a good point—while size is good as a safety feature, there’s been a hell of a lot of engineering going into safety since 1973. My brother in law was in a small Korean car that got hit in an offset head-on by an old pickup. He lived, and my nephew in the passenger seat had only minor injuries. The car was

You forgot to factor in the David Tracey point of view--unless the rust has eaten through the actually frame, it’s fixable (once you clean out the rat nests)!

So...you think the solution is to nationalize a private sport, deny compensation beyond $1 to anyone who had an ownership interest, eliminate government subsidies for the stadiums, eliminate limited broadcasting rights, and fundamentally change the rules of the game?

I don’t think you’ve properly characterized this as “more rational” buying.  It’s simply

CarMax is a good place to dump a car that’s about to have a big problem.

the point is to drive your car until there is not real difference in depreciation, and THEN buy another. After 10 years and 200k, most cars are at the bottom anyway.

new or used, try to avoid buying right now. I got a call from a dealer wanting to buy my 2017 Jeep Wrangler with 30k miles and he was offering only $1,000 less than I paid for it new.  God only knows what his markup was going to be...

My, what an open mind you have!

The sad reality is that unions protect the worst and least productive workers, not those who do their jobs well. It is with good reason that many other UAW efforts to unionize in recent years have failed.  I don’t want my own wages to go to support one-size-fits-all rules that protect the lazy drunk at the factory.

No, this is what so-called journalists are like today--it’s not reporting, its attempting to control a narrative to achieve political goals.

Why is Bruce Allen not getting dragged into this?  After all, he’s the pen pal here...

I suspect he was just making his way the only way he knew how.

While I am prepared to believe much of what it here, remember that it was prepared by the lawyer for the bikers who will no doubt be filing civil suits. Bottom line—everyone here has an angle that may be different than the whole truth.

Actually, this is exactly what happens on the left--one rule for thee, a different rule for me.

He wasn’t far away--check the tape.

Nothing like a well-reasoned rebuttal, Atmuhside!

All of you here would fire seven shots (which takes about three seconds) into a guy who came at you with a knife. And you wouldn’t wait for him to turn around and stick it in your belly before your started shooting—you’d shoot as soon as he reached for it. Shooting a guy in the back from across the room is different

When it gets to lethal force against an armed subject, the cop is not required merely to subdue. And a knife within arm’s length is sufficiently dangerous for the cop to meet the legal standard.
