Yeah, but what happened to the Dufranes?

“I opened-up a yogurt, underneath the lid it said, “Please try again.” because they were having a contest that I was unaware of. I thought maybe I opened the yogurt wrong. ...Or maybe Yoplait was trying to inspire me... “Come on Mitchell, don’t give up!” An inspirational message from your friends at Yoplait, fruit on

So true, he basically invented Twitter-style jokes.

This show is hilarious, to me. Certainly much funnier and cleverer than B99.

Your typical misogynists are, yes. So basically Twitter and the daily mail

I hadn’t seen anything blaming her, but I doubt any of us would be surprised to see a headline something like “Naturally, terrible people are blaming Asia Argento for Anthony Bourdain’s suicide”.

No, because stigmatizing suicide will stigmatize people who feel like they want to commit suicide, and stigmatize people who want to seek help. You might think that stigmatizing suicide would make people think “Whoa, I don’t want people to think I’m a dick for killing myself,” but suicidal people generally don’t worry

Family, friends and partners are the secondary victims of suicide, and their grief sadly persists long after their loved one has died. Thus I cannot understand how anyone can think to blame such people in the wake of a suicide. They’re precisely the people who need the most sympathy and support at this time.

Who would blame Asia Argento for Bourdain’s suicide? Oh, that’s right -terrible people. There are a lot of terrible people, they are louder on average than non-terrible people, and some have platforms in the media.

Right? I always found it so hilarious that they took “Lord Asriel kills Roger and tears apart the fabric of the universe to go punch god in the face” and turned it into “they all fly away in a hot air balloon yay!”

Having being brought up Catholic and reading so many stories infused with that, I found them a welcome antidote. I don’t feel like Pullman had to grossly overexaggerate when showing the evil the church did to survive.

Where the movie really went wrong was trying to please too many people. It just made me wonder what the point was in getting the rights to such a famously controversial book series if you’re not prepared to lean into that. For me, it’s all summed up in the throwaway line “We’ll find your daemon,” thus assuring the

If anybody hasn’t read the books I recommend them (even to adults). They were some of the best writing I read as a kid. Lyra and Will are terrific characters.

Yeah, people DO get yelled at all the time. In general, Americans in 2018 DO need to stop whining.
BUT, Jessica Walters isn’t fresh off the bus from Kansas with stars in her eyes. If Tambor upset a pro like her this much, whatever he said must’ve been pretty fucked up.

Exactly. Can you imagine what she went through in her earlier years that would drive to her to sobbing tears in fucking 2018.

Honestly, given that she’s be active in the industry since the bad old days and STILL was shocked by Tambor’s conduct kind of proves that it was insanely beyond even the usual run of bad behavior.

This comments section (so far) is very heartning, because I know from the last one on this I was in on basically told Jessica Walters “to stop whining” and that “people get yelled at all the time”.

I think it’s really sad that Shawkat feels bad about not saying enough. She was the youngest person in the room, and shouldn’t be tasked with telling a bunch of grown men who are seasoned professionals to maybe let Walter be heard about something she experienced. That’s the kind of courtesy they should be capable of

Definitely a very cool mix! And the hate she gets from shippers is ridiculous. She and Bellamy have such an interesting history together...they could only ever been lifelong enemies or lovers. In a way, they’re like the heterosexual version of Clarke and Lexa. People really need to let go of Bellarke.

“Sorry, I have an advanced degree and consider myself pretty smart”
