Family, friends and partners are the secondary victims of suicide, and their grief sadly persists long after their loved one has died. Thus I cannot understand how anyone can think to blame such people in the wake of a suicide. They’re precisely the people who need the most sympathy and support at this time.

If anybody hasn’t read the books I recommend them (even to adults). They were some of the best writing I read as a kid. Lyra and Will are terrific characters.
