That’s a lie. ID is NOT easy to get in many places, especially when you are dealing with older people who have lost the original documents they need to get IDs. People are stuck in catch-22's because they need an ID to get the source documents they need to get an ID.

Maybe Fuller’s lengthy history on bailing on shows is a little suspect. But I will never not enjoy laughing at dumbass moneymen who try to cut costs by stifling creatives voices only to wind up having to spend more money than if just hadn’t fu**ing touched it

Sure, but couldn’t it have also been because the first movie wasn’t very good?

You’re... not at all familiar with the McElroys, are you?

If they get cut, I’m sending a haunted doll to each of those Dreamworks execs.  They’ll be sorry.

This is a terrible take.

The McElroy Brothers are exceptionally aware of their cishet white male privilege, make excellent things, and have an extremely diverse fanbase that they embrace and celebrate.

The primary reason the Golden Compass movie didn’t get a sequel, despite grossing $372m worldwide, is New Line sold off the non-US rights to finance the movie in the first place, thus placing all their eggs in a basket most likely to be disinterested on religious/gender/literary grounds. Had they had the nerve to

I think it’s more fair to say if Trolls 2 doesn’t screw this up, they’ll make the final cut.

I’m really looking forward to this show so I’m glad the BBC seem to have some faith in the project.

I’ve seen the stage show twice. It’s the fucking best. All the daemons are puppetry, with people dressed in black controlling and voicing them. It sounds lame but (of course) the writing is so good that you just get sucked into it after a time.

Just don’t believe a single word from Monkey Boy’s mouth. He’s a troll into it for the long haul, the long con. He’s playing with you. If he says he was nearly raped by a fellow high school student, rest assured he’s lying his ass off to manipulate you.

I’m not sure any group has a corner on the market of assholery.

I mean, I kind of think the basic metaphor of the Hulk is that Bruce Banner starts out as a villainous nerd, right?  Like Peter David said, he was mad at the world and his response was to build a giant bomb.

You’re making an assumption here that bros haven’t experienced abuse and trauma, and another assumption that bros are typically bigoted bullies. I think the first assumption is a very badly flawed and potentially hurtful one. All kinds of people can be abused, and I feel like bros in particular tend to come from

Growing up in a society awash with toxic masculinity.

Uh... I don’t think he’s defending attempted rapists, he’s saying that nerds, given the chance, often become bigger bullies than the ones in HS, so we shouldn’t applaud someone for merely being a nerd, but for how they act.

There’s a difference between minimizing or belittling someone’s suffering from abuse; it’s another entirely to ascribe some kind of moral superiority to them because of it.

I think the victims of bullying do hold a higher moral ground...

The historic treaty between the Gaywads and the Dorkwads really shifted the balance of power.
