Seconded, FogHat. When I'm not watching his movies, I have a vague distaste for the over-stylization, but I always really dig the movies once I start watching. I guess that's why I don't re-watch them very often, it's hard to drag myself into it. But once I'm ten minutes in I'm totally on board again.

I thought having the Russian guy do it was sort-of intentional. I mean, didn't the guy take him into some old fallout shelter or something and try to talk him into helping him open a nightclub? It seems like the "bad experience" was more of an attempt to make good tv by intentionally doing dumb things.
