I make no excuses for their service in the wake of the incident (which sounds unforgivably abysmal), but you’re assuming a lot that they got hacked. 99 times out of 100 when you see a cluster of incidents like this, it’s because unsecured users got keylogged or otherwise had their passwords compromised on their end.
