I really don't think that's it. I think the average AV Club commenter just don't realize that there's a good show on CBS. I'm not sure I can blame them. Most of the stuff on CBS is cookie-cutter procedurals, all the same unvarying crime drama gruel except for the occasional slightly, harmlessly quirky character. CBS

For 2005, I thought these two episodes looked great. But then I was a fan of classic Doctor Who, so all the visuals in "End of the World" were pretty astonishing by comparison. But even compared to other sci-fi/fantasy TV shows of the time, I thought these two looked good. ("Rose" maybe not so much.) Or were you one
