Why not? Was it her fault? Her own mother helped concertgoers get to safety.

What a miserable cunt that man is. What an empty, pathetic, disgusting shell in the loose shape of a human being. He’s such a fucking loser piece of shit misogynist asshole that the only thing that keeps him from sexually harassing his female staff a la O’Reilly is that he’s too much of a physical coward. Fuck him,

After something like this, I’d be amazed if I were able to get out of bed in the morning– let alone arrange a benefit concert and reach out a helping hand to victims’ families. Piers Morgan is one of the vilest dicks in contemporary media. If there’s a way to shame somebody, he’ll find it.

And if she had gone right away, she would have gotten shit for it too I guarantee it, “using their pain for publicity” or some bullshit.

I’ve never been crazy about her, but this is pretty damn selfless of her. George Carlin once had a line, “If I ever found out that someone died in a car accident on the way to or from one of my shows, I’d feel partially responsible.” I can’t even imagine what Ariana is going through. Good for her for going back.

I agree. Of course she is far from being the #1 victim of the attack. But to state the obvious really, it’s going to be quite a burden to carry for the rest of her life that those were her fans to see her.

Not an Ariana Grande fan at all but that poor kid was so traumatized by what happened I’m sure she couldn’t think straight. I wouldn’t have expected her to go to the hospital and Piers Morgan is an asshole.

Didn’t she also offer to pay for funeral expenses for the victims? And wasn’t her own security team, including her own mother, helping take people to safety?

No kidding. I would take bets on her breaking down at her first concert back, but that’s unfair. I hope she’s ok. She and her fans were deliberately and personally targeted by a crazy person who wanted to destroy trust and create fear.

Right? And she’s going right back to Manchester for another concert. That is awesome.

She got it in the neck for NOT going back or staying or whatever a variety of people felt she should do because people like to shit on her. She does not deserve the judgement she has received with regards to her response when her concert was bombed (I can’t believe I have to say that). After the Bataclan disaster, the

No one asked her to go. Ariana is simply giving a benefit concert. What is the big deal

Ugh. She’s never been my favorite, but she’s a survivor of this attack herself. How can she insert herself when she’s already a part of things? I think it’s great she is willing to show her support for the families and the city, especially since performing may seem pretty scary to her at the moment.

This is really impressive. I wouldn’t blame her if she decided never to go there again. Performing after this must be really scary. I’m sure this show will sell out in no time and I hope it brings a little bit of joy to her fans.

People have gotten so cynical about tragedy and celebrities that they can’t objectively think.

I do not think that she is trying to force them to go, but is raising money for them. Not to mention the whole “not letting the terrorists silence us” thing...

Plus I hope she doesn’t blame herself. She has handled this tragedy angelically.

Not to get off topic - I can’t speak on your experience with the US Red Cross - but the speed and amount they helped with one of my friends who apartment burned down (who was from Kenya and had literally everything she owned in that apartment) will always hold the one in our city dear to me. They got to the scene with

Perfect response, perfectly timed. It’s going down well in the UK.
