It’s amazing what people consider “not too much power” for a first bike. I’ve been riding for more than a decade, on bikes of all speeds and sizes from a Honda 100 Scrambler to a heavily modified GSXR1100; they aren’t cars. They aren’t “fast” cars. They’re a whole other world.

“that’s your own fault...”

EDIT: I’m pretty sure you’re talking about California, but didn’t see a clarification.

My favorite part is I thought that car was a Civic, genuinely, before he said what it was. His car is so hellaflush that it turned into a much cheaper car.

Well, there’s that, and then there’s the exhaust sound they had during the entire time the car ran, it sounding exactly like the PRV V6, Marty having to crankstart the car with a key, and shifting gears.

The biggest irony is there are an awful lot of guys on here who can actually afford the insane cars these guys write about. And here I am stuck commuting in the after-picture of the BMW from the final Ronin chase scene. At least I re-enact it at least once a day.

That’s actually the best theory I’ve read for why manuals are disappearing from performance cars: that people are such retards that they’d be blowing the clutch-material actuarial tables every few weeks. There’s only so much heat that a street-driveable organic clutch can take, and with more than 500hp available in a

Damnit you made me want a new Jaguar, and I hate them because they’re amorphously hideous funhouse Kias.

I’m always intrigued by overboost. Basically it’s saying “the engine can only take this for so long.”

Well that’s horrifying.

Holy crap they took that truck-top guitarist straight out of the intro video for Rock Band. Except, you know, adding murder.

Don’t forget the turbos

On the other side of the coin, playing devil’s advocate, the epilogue of this brilliant podcast paints a pretty damning picture of how long it takes for jobs to recover after they’re taken away by machines (hint: it’s decades), if history is any judge.

Wait, this is news? Sure I suck at getting clicks but I had this more than a month ago. That said, good job on the video links.

...or just plain ignorance of what those fancy-sounding words he heard actually were.

So basically every mechanically inclined car guy’s dream come true, drop anything you’re doing, “hell yes I’ll do this job” bolting cars together to look like you found whatever you could and used whatever tools were on hand, make them look fast, make them shoot fire, using unlimited studio-supplied parts and a

It’s at least cop-level fessing up.

Can’t!

Well at least he fessed up. He’ll never be a politician, but at least he might become a good person instead.

Ok maybe I should clarify that living in El Paso and Killeen sucks.
