I’ve had one done for under $1500 (though I pulled the transmission).
I’ve only driven the E60 M5 with SMG, and it was one of the main reasons I stuck with the E39 M5.
For about $1500 you can convert the SMG to a full manual.
I love the pile of wire left on the old welds. Quality.
It was almost reminiscent of the SMG transmission in the E60-generation, V10 M5.
