Doesn't AC2 have some Da Vinci DLC that's free but needs to be unlocked using the Uplay thing?

It means they’re shutting down multiplayer and the ability to unlock Uplay Rewards for the affected games, which covers everything from cosmetics to items to game modes. It’s not limited to multiplayer content.

Honestly no, this doesn’t ooze Disney. It oozes Gameloft.
All of their games I’ve tried were choked to death with mtx and other scummy monetisation practices. It’s one of the reasons I didn’t buy it. I wanted to see how they fared after going live first, whether they’d revert to their good ol’ practices.
Seems I dodged

It’s kind of surprising you’ve never heard of that company before; they’re a juggernaut in the mobile space, and have been ever since you could download games onto your phone in the early 2000s. And yes, they’ve always been as scummy as you’d expect from a game company founded by a Guillemot (in this case, Michel).

with some praising the decision to avoid the messiness that is often standard with F2P microtransactions”

It’s always grating to see requirements so far above the equivalent to the consoles it’s gonna run on

I’m glad that even bigger developers like Remedy are just throwing their hands in the air and giving up on PC optimization.

But it comes with an EXCLUSIVE SKIN that you can only get FOR A LIMITED TIME!!!

Don’t worry, I’m sure Aaron Keller will be out with another developer blog post about how important this kind of monetization is to support the longterm health of the game and how crucial it is for the OWL which is totally not a big focus for them still.

I’ve noticed a lot of people don’t like the ending, but I think this article nails why it’s so spot on: the player needs to decide what’s important to them, because at the end of the day, most people you meet fell in love with V the hero, and running away from dealing with Mikoshi means V is no longer that person, and

$70 is a lot to spend on something that makes you sleepy. Kotaku’s incessive desire to try and frame this bland game into something more is just tiring.

Take away the fun and excitement of actually just exploring from a Bethesda game, and all you’re left with is archaic mechanics, bland story, subpar quests, and poorly written characters. The designers removed the only thing their renowned for... building fun worlds to explore.

I can get the writers points...but any game that you keep falling asleep to is not a good thing when you day it out loud

I hope too that it will become a chill experience, but right at the beginning I’m struggling as controller acrobatics are not my thing and the inventory system and shooting mechanics do not suit my playstyle. I’m constantly out of ammo at the first pirate facility as I’m not a good shot and dislike high tempo FPS

Nah, its just true. The average hour of gameplay of star field just fucking blows. I don’t understand the persistent push of the idea that it doesn’t. Skyrim, Fallout 3 and 4, Oblivion basically all of Bethesda’s best nailed ONE single thing and that single thing was that walking in one direction long enough sets you

I am struggling with this game. It is not a bad game by any measure. But it is not holding my attention nearly as much as Skyrim or Fallout 3/4. Even with my beast of a PC, the constant loading screens are just obnoxious and annoying. Who knows. Maybe I am just getting old.

Hell yeah, Lucy finisher it is. Super excited for this next playthrough with 2.0 and Phantom Liberty.

That’s not true? If the game is hitting 90% on all eight cores of a modern CPU that means it’s probably well optimized. It it’s hitting 90% on 1-2 cores then probably not optimized. Most games don’t hit that many cores so it makes sense to put this out there because many gamers don’t often bench their CPU in a way

I’ve played the main games, but they’re not that different, writing or gameplay wise, to the side quests.

I’ve finished both. Want me to fill you in on what happens?
