Light cantrip. Put it on your party leader. Instant ten minutes of protection, can be cast infinitely. Damage ramp-up resets as soon as you enter a lit area, i.e. around your party leader, so outside of combat you’ll basically never proc the damage. I figured that out my first playthrough, it wasn’t exactly rocket

I feel like this was explicitly stated a few times in the lore leading up to the area, that a torch is fine but deeper into the area even that won’t cut it. Daylight spell does wonders in this area, as does the Blood of Lathander. Having that mace equipped on someone protects them without tying up a hand for a torch.

This is how bg 1 and 2 looked  that's the style  they're crpgs

Wait... are you complaining that a CRPG looks like CRPG?

I keep save scumming because EVERY roll feels like a game-changing role. But after reading these reviews I think I need to play it more like Fallout 1/2 and just roll with it. See where my nat 1 takes me.

Nah, chief. You were trying to be critical of the game, highlighting what you thought might not be a good sign, and got caught in a bad take observation. Now you’re trying to back up and pull the “It was a joke” card.

And if you took an obvious joke so seriously you may have a problem detecting them?

Then you’ve been paying fuck all attention. There’s been plenty of news about other systems and aspects of development. If you’ve only perked your ears up because someone mentioned titillating content, that’s a you problem.

So... are you also going to say that Nvidia-sponsored games should also be allowed to support AMD and Intel features (which they generally don’t, Cyberpunk excepted)? Because all you’re doing otherwise is supporting the creation and maintenance of an anti-competitive monopoly.

Hardware Unboxed did a comparison between DLSS and FSR showed that the differences between the two are relatively marginal and that while DLSS is slightly better than FSR, there’s several situations where FSR is better and that it’s hard to tell the difference between the two in motion.

But you who own an Geforce (as well as the few who have an ARC) will also be able to use FSR just the same as if you had a Radeon.

Nvidia has been doing this for years, it’s one of the biggest reasons why games tend to run more smoothly on Nvidia hardware compared to AMD hardware. The other half being that yes, Nvidia has historically invested more in its drivers too.

The number of people who play PC games and will notice or care about which upscaling technology is being used is going to be very small.

I’m curious as to what other purposes of gems will be the future because at least at Tier IV, I feel like having a stack of 50 royals for each in your stash is practically overkill because I don’t actually replace gear fast enough for it to matter lol

at this point D3 is the better game

Nope.

For me it’s how stingy gear upgrades get. I’m 43, I’m wearing gear that ranges from min level 30-38 and have been since my early-mid 30s. I’m getting legendaries that are worse then rares I got 5+ hours and 10 levels ago. The only weapon that was an upgrade was from the weapons vendor for more than half the gold I had

It seems like the fundamental problem is that they designed themselves into a corner with the paragon system redesign, because there is functionally no endgame once you’re done with it (aka, hit level 100).

MW2 can’t afford to not have dedicated servers” lol

So Kotaku likes Critical Role now?  Wasn’t too long ago there was basically a manifesto length article about how this group of friends was too white and that they should kick people out of their game so they could replace them with token POC representation.
