I'm using Splashtop right now to write this, and I am extremely impressed.

I accidentally opened IE9 the other day, and I was pleasantly surprised.

What kind of filthy, filthy sites are you visiting? I haven't downloaded a virus in ages!

I mean I had the same thought as you. I guess melting the meat might help you cut it up, but I don't see how vinegar would even melt anything it wasn't in direct contact with (the outermost 1/16 inch or whatever), and if the goal is to get the meat to a higher temperature so you can cook it, then vinegar won't help.

Seems pretty obvious to me, too. Let's also note that the idea that acid marinades tenderize meat is a myth, while we're at it.

Me too, I didn't bother looking at the call for contenders because I don't have a smartphone. The loss of the words "program" and "software" in favor of "app" referring to everything has not exactly been a victory for clarity of communication.

Not to mention, the power of tryptophan in food to cause drowsiness is always greatly exaggerated in these blame-the-turkey myths.

Holy crap, a time traveling phone booth. How did I never notice before now??

My thoughts exactly. Having exposed a bunch of flaws, the test seems to me to have been a complete success.

You'll know it's time to replace your chain when it starts skipping or breaks, but even so, I wouldn't ride too far from home with a 12 year old chain! Teflon lube's good. It doesn't provide the same rust protection as oil, but it won't collect nearly as much gunk. It's a popular choice for mountain bikers in dusty

If I take a 50 or 60 mile bike ride on a hot day (at least once a week during the summer), it's pretty much impossible for me to drink too much. I've actually never managed to go on a long ride without getting a little dehydrated, but I never feel thirsty.

I have some Shure earbuds I just love. I don't know what model they are, though. They cost about $100 a few years ago. The noise-blocking silicone tips work so well that I listen to music at the same volume on a city bus as I do just walking around.

So, ah, can I get that with a QWERTY slider? Heh.

Here's a shortcut to proper ladder placement: Stand up straight, with the base of the ladder at your feet, and hold the ladder with your arms extended parallel to the ground straight out in front of you. This is the correct angle! I'm speaking from ten years as a framer and exterior trim carpenter, FWIW. Some

Looking forward to some great shoplifting and mugging tips next, Lifehacker! You guys have been killing it lately, keep up the good work.

Oddly, this article inspired me to give Foxit another try.

Isn't lifehacker based in NYC? I'm guessing most of the editors haven't spent much time around garages.

Don't skip steps when you run stairs! If you don't believe me, try it both ways and see which is harder.

I really, really want to know if they ever sell any of these.
