To my knowledge, they’ve never gone away....they weren’t new to the 90s, even though they made more books then. The original book will turn 100 years old in 2024. Those kids will always be around.

So among the 487,329 people AV Club has on its enemies list, they’ve added Ferris Bueller? Good luck taking HIM down. Many have tried, all have failed.

Lately, it’s been Tetris 99. It can be maddening if you play it for TOO long, but there’s something about challenging that many people at once that makes you forget everything else in the world. Plus, since the matches are so short, you can pick up the game at any time. Extra-long commercial break? Tetris 99.

So all webcomics have to be extremely vertical now with one panel per row, because no one wants to turn their phone horizontally? I can’t say I didn’t see this coming, but I’m still disappointed in you all.

Seriously, is there a gallery of Pike and Stine covers somewhere? I would lose an hour in such a place....

The inclusion of Denver was so random, but then again, so was the rest of the episode.

Whoever designed those Christian cartoon characters clearly grew up in the subculture....that is a level of specificity I’ve never seen on television before. It wasn’t just Bob and Larry, it was also Psalty, McGee, maybe Gerbert....a couple were so obscure I didn’t even recognize them.

What did anyone think about Mary’s Blouse Of A Thousand Zippers?

Why would you drop Batwoman before Supergirl? These days, Batwoman is the much better show.

Whoa, the only other time I’ve seen Charmed mentioned on this entire network of sites is when Beth Elderkin brings it up on iO9, and that’s only when she’s really mad at it.

I enjoyed this movie more than most, but in retrospect there are a LOT of “pop culture, pop culture” jokes that would feel right at home in any Shrek movie the following decade. He’s wearing Air Hercs! The store says Aphrodite’s Secret instead of Victoria’s Secret! Get it, guys??

AMC might be able to hold the line with Universal, but if every other studio joins in, they’ll lose that game of chicken. They have to show SOMETHING.

How can we be heading to the season’s climax if we only just saw episode 9? And it’s not a pandemic-induced shortage...it’s too short even for that. Did they give every other ridiculously serious CW super-show a 22-episode order but short-changed Legends to 13?

*sighs while pinching his nose like Bob*

It really was grade A, it was the episode I’ve been waiting for all season. Amazing moments for Eve, Carolyn and especially Villanelle. Also, AMC should be applauded for NOT spoiling any of the big scenes in last week’s promo.

It proves the guy who did it was a bean-counter who wasn’t paying attention to any of the shows he was examining, just their numbers.

Oh — you forgot Batwoman. There’s actually a new Batwoman on tonight. It’s okay, it’s been so long that I would not have known either if I hadn’t seen a promo for it. And I don’t see a new one on next week’s schedule, so this might be the only one we get for a while.

It was supposed to be called It’s Messy, and that would have fit better, but Fox insisted Mindy couldn’t go with it.

I wondered what was occupying Ramona’s time. I guess this was it? I still feel like she traded down.
