The One True Opinion

In fiction it is.

No review for you, Duncanville. Sorry, Amy.

If It’s Hale, It’s Fail

It’s not supposed to be; “running from a masked figure with a knife” is about as old-hat as Frankenstein; what matters now is what they do with it. Happy Death Day is a comedy where Jessica Rothe gets to make wacky faces and show off her extremely underexposed talents. And it’s great at that.

I’m on the side of indifference.....but where’s that guy who confessed on Kinja, in front of the whole AV Club, that he and his wife once roleplayed as Potterverse characters in full robes to get in the mood? He should have an opinion.

If they do a live-action Return of Jafar, they’re gonna need a better Jafar. An actually intimidating one. What made the animated movie work (at least for me) was that the heroes were completely overwhelmed by the situation; they just ate it the moment he showed up and only lived through the experience because of

I’m gonna see if the other reviews are this bad before I make my decision; Dowd hates a lot of things. As noted above, he hated Detective Pikachu for some irrational reason.

Secret of Mana IS being sold separately now.

Glad to hear I was not the only one who preferred this Iris. You know what’s going to be even more annoying than having the original back?

I hope that flash means we’re getting Original Zari back soon. This vain influencer act almost seems too annoying to be presented on purpose, like they plan to dump it. I hope so.

Restaurants are awkward, especially the type full of big booths that are clearly intended for multiple people. You go there alone and it loudly advertises the fact that no one loves you. You sit there in the large booth taking up one-sixteenth of the space, and the waitress comes by, looks at you pitifully and says

Only the opening hospital area is scary.

There is a point in the middle of the game where you’re in a city, you’re separated from Ellie and you have to go in this dark basement....that’s the part that’s truly scary, and the only part I can’t replay again. My second playthrough is stuck on that spot.

Oh good heavens, you named yourself Tookie De La Creme. Now all those recommendations are in question. You did that ironically, right?

ABC shot a pilot once. They turned it down. A year later, Once Upon A Time showed up. Hmmmmmmm.....

Every generation’s culture is a reaction to the culture that came before it. The 90s and 2000s were all about boundary-pushing and belching offensiveness because Boomers were in charge and they grew up during the 1950s, which were all about conformity and buttoned-up chasteness...which was because of the generation

Katy hasn’t had nearly as many revivals as Josie....I can only think of three. The original 50s comic by Bill Woggon, the 80s revival by John Lucas, and one more that happened around 2005. The first two were basic Barbie rags for young girls that revolved around fashion; the 2005 version might have had a bit more

Well, they claim it’s faithful to the comic, and the Josie and Katy comics were miles apart tone-wise, so....I’m afraid not.

Well, the reason I don’t watch these things when they premiere is because I’m cautious about them getting cancelled, so....self-fulfilling.
