This is so true, sadly. I have recently started working with a program that serves public school students in the city I live in. As a result I have visited a pretty large number of public elementary schools over the past few months—and the differences among them are striking.

I don’t understand why child molesters and rapists don’t get longer sentences, I really don’t. I think their sentences should be on par with those for murder convictions (not including capital punishment, which I oppose). I mean, 27 years is a long ass time, but 15?
