There was another one called Empire of the Ants which I believe was based on or inspired by a French novel of the same name. Haven't played it, book was alright.

but it was taco bell that show me the error of my ways in thinking that a taco had to be either crunchy or soft. combining two tacos in to one has made me a better person, and the world a better place.

It's just a well crafted, simple fantasy that I think a lot of people appreciate getting wrapped up in. It's certainly not very original or ground breaking. Just a mixture of wonderful art, great pacing, with adventure and humor. Maybe it no Tolkien, but it's definately a step above the rest of his imitators.

Could someone who has avoided online gaming up to this point hop in to a series like this? Sounds fun but I suspect dying often and gay/dick/fart jokes could become off putting.
