The hybrid is apparently going to be a difficult find, only available if you special order

I took huge issue with this as well.

I would actually care about this car if they offered it with a stick and it had the Type-R powertrain.

How many comments are you going to make on this post lmao.

Yeah, calling it now. This is just going to be an automatic Civic Type R.

Please sell it in a yellow that’s more like the racecar and older C6 yellow. I’ve seen the C8 “yellow” and it’s basically a highlighter.

Agreed. I am glad they went back to NA for the Z06.

Dude — do I *really* need to explain that Mustangs with a Shelby in the name don’t follow the same rules?

Why so angry? People can have opinions. Personally I think most Caymans are butt-ugly save for the 718 and 981.

I’d argue that caring about deprecation lets me own cooler cars for less. You’re in the 4-6% of car buyers if you buy new and keep 10yrs+

You’re certainly entitled to that opinion. But I think they look cool — plus mid-engined V8 performance isn’t exactly offered anywhere else. I’ve always wanted a 458 and this is the closest I’ll get to it, looks be damned.

Nuthin’ — other than Jim Farley wants it to look special enough that his kid would have a photo of it on his wall (or screensaver on phone).

I kind of agree with this.

Super overpriced imo. One of the worst values in the sports car market rn -- esp with S650 right around the corner.

lololololololololol

Those are pre-covid prices you’re quoting rn. Decent R8 is like a C8 3LT w/$20k markup.

Honesty best answer here is to just keep the Vette. The 1LT is a great value and it outperforms everything in the same price bracket, even used.

If this were as common a mindset as you seem to think, the “no haggle” dealerships would be doing great business

but can’t take even the slightest bit of (true) criticism of your car.
