This is my district, I voted for her. I also drive on 28 and 66 every day and her plan is dumb and not going to happen. I can support her with out agreeing with all her plans.

Yup, my two fears right now: 1. Trump will double down on his ridiculous “voter fraud” commission, and the GOP will give him any resources he wants. 2. Trump will actually start a war with NK because his popularity is gone and he’s “losing” and it’s accepted that a war improves a president’s popularity.

THIS. Why we’re not seeing the ads on TV for this already, just to prime the pump, is beyond my ability to reckon.

Every Democrat needs to run ads that say “Republicans want to take away your health care.” “Republicans want to take away your Social Security.” “Republicans want to raise your taxes to give more breaks to corporations that relocate overseas.”
 

Gah, me too. So much so that I Netflixed while the returns were coming in, normally I’d be watching on the edge of my seat. I peeked at my phone and caught Northam’s victory and the delight just rolled from then on. I don’t live in Roem’s district, but basically all my local friends feel like this is a state wide…

I am really glad that Democrats did well today. Democrat Chris Hurst also took a seat away from a Republican in VA. Hurst was dating Alison Parker, the reporter who was gunned down on air in 2015.

And the biggest issue to Virginians voting for Northam? Health care. So when democrats run on the issues, they win. Maine also passed a referendum on Medicaid expansion.

Maine voted to expand Medicaid, so fuck you right in the gizzard, Paul LePage. Great precedent for other purple states with red legislatures.

Trump literally put out a robocall to Virginia voters TODAY outlining how much Ed Gillespie is like him on all issues. Sooooo he’s calling himself a liar?

Maaaaybe it’ll finally dawn to the GOP that Trump isn’t loyal to anyone but himself. If you win, he’ll take credit. If you lose, he’ll throw you under the bus without a second thought. They hitched their wagons to him, and now they are fucked.

As a Virginian, I was approaching this evening with a feeling of dread—I was concerned that the closing poll numbers really indicated the race for Gov. was tightening.
