Oh, absolutely. I agree with that completely.

It’s adorable that you think I’m talking about “a little pain”. My condition is regularly described as being far more painful than cancer. Yoga, mediation, physical therapy, alternative medicine—tried them all. I’m able to function with minimal painkillers currently but I’m only in my 30's and I have no optimism…
And, with this, those of us with extremely painful chronic conditions will be told to...do yoga? Learn to think our way out of the problem? Just go ahead and kill ourselves because our condition is degenerative and we will never get better and now the thing that slightly takes the edge off has been taken away due to…
Yes, I have a friend who was also falsely accused of sexual harassment—and it had consequences. I actually think being falsely accused of sexual harassment seems to carry a lot more damage than being falsely accused of rape (or accurately accused of rape—neither seem to have much in the way of consequences).
Yes, it is. It’s a brave new world. Republicans don’t seem to have to put up with nearly as many complete lunatics and threatening behavior as a democrat does.
I agree. It’s much harder to take risks when you have to constantly worry about being insurable.
My friends who live in Ames are furious that King now represents them.
Yes. And that is something my “progressive” friends don’t understand—the democrat who runs in that district HAS to be a moderate. Perhaps even a conservative democrat. A Bernie type is absolutely not going to win. Whenever a democratic candidate in Iowa gets an endorsement from the HSUS I think “Nooooooo” because…
He’s a fucking moron. And for those of you who want to bring up the fact that he is (was?) a surgeon, so fucking what. There are plenty of doctors who are fucking morons.
Man, if we went into delusions that my entire family shares we’d be in for a long trial. Mix that with all the weird shit my family ACTUALLY was involved in and it’s real hard to pick out what is true and what is just family legend.
I’m currently pregnant. I had the exact opposite experience of you, apparently. I realized at that ultrasound how incredibly cruel it would be to force a woman to carry and birth something that isn’t going to live. Personally, we would want to grieve and try again and I don’t see how forcing me to wait 4 months…
I react very, very poorly to most hormonal medication so most of those aren’t options for me. Nobody in my family has endo, just me! The IUD works well when it works but I’ve had 3 and only 1 stopped my period (which is what helped the endo). I’m pregnant now and my doctor told me I will have to either be pregnant…
Telling them I’m Catholic usually did two things: 1. Made them sure I was going to hell and 2. Made them give up on trying to convert me. Apparently we are difficult to convert.
Since Bella and Tiffany Trump are friends, it’s fun to ponder Tiffany and Scott hanging out.
Yep, endo is even worse than most people think. It’s damaging my intestines to the point that it might cause a hole to form, which will give me septis. I’ve been able to control it with my IUD over the last few years but my IUD gives me ovarian cysts the size of oranges. Very frustrating.
It seems one of their kids keep bullying my friend’s kid. Big surprise.
My mom always did that and I swore I wouldn’t. And I don’t. Even if I bring my lunch, I eat it outside or something.
Almost all of the businesses that are rated “best places to work” in my city give unlimited PTO.
I’m actually having the same issue with maternity leave. I don’t get much (thanks, America!/sarcasm) but we have no redundency built in to our small office. Also, I don’t want them to feel like they could easily replace me, because there are a couple in my organization who would like to do just that.
Have you been to the speakeasy in the donut shop yet?
