I believe while more blunt it was a legit apology and I believe that he meant it cause he not only resigned, but he forfeited his shares, copyright claims, and essentially his rights to any profit that the game would make (Which he would of kept if he had been fired or just regularly quit).

The problem I see with this type of ideology is that it really relies heavily on people playing cooperatively and strategically as a team. This works great in closed doors with a group of people who agree this is the way the game should be played. Where it falls apart is with online matchmaking.
