For those of you wondering....

What a hit.

If EV cost doesn’t crush the big 3, the supply of metals needed for EV may. A lot of talk about alternative metals for batteries instead of cobalt, but no cars use this yet, so we are many years from getting that into the market. In the meantime adoption will be slow as the public gets more and more fickle about EVs.

You got a really nice EV charging station here. It would be a real shame if something happened to it.

When I’m in a traffic jam I try to look at the brake lights 2 cars ahead. Can’t do that if you can’t see through the car in front of you.

We got some new uparmored HUMMVEEs in Afghanistan. Still had that new HUMMVEE smell of canvas.

No Dice, Absurd Price.

The only downside is that I would have to be seen in this:

Oh lookie, a whole lot of nothing I would want to drive or could afford to buy, anyhow.

Petersen is my favorite, been a couple times. Just went earlier this year to The Vault, and their Tesla exhibit was also very cool (where they have Cybertruck, Cyberquad, Roadster, Semi, and all the other stuff)

I’m in the battery business and I agree, battery technology is changing very quickly. That being said, you can have all of these batteries that can accept a charge very quickly, but if you don’t have the infrastructure to charge them, it’s not going to take hold as quickly.

I’m by no means comparing Hulkenberg to Alonso skill wise but Alonso took 2 years off and is doing just fine. Hulkenberg won’t be scaring Red Bull and Merc next year but he will be challenging for top 10 positions and that’s really all that Haas needs. They’re currently 8th in the Constructors standings with Mick

Don’t top off your fuel tank.

Because gasoline needs room to expand, your tank needs extra room for that expansion. If you try to top off, the extra gas you’re trying to add may actually evaporate into your vehicle’s vapor collection system. This can ruin the mechanism, making it work improperly, and cause your car

The problem with the grid is that there is massive regulation for utilties and a TON of NIMBY issues.

Agreed on this, I haven’t seen much on early Tesla battery life since they have been out for about 10 years now (not including roadster here, just S). But that is a major concern. My current car has 265k miles on it, ‘07 Hybrid Highlander, the battery is noticeable worse than when I got it about 8 years ago, different

To comment on your first comment, I didn’t vote for Trump, but I have no want for an EV at this point. It would be a pain for me to charge at home and I drive a decent amount for work. Maybe in the future it will make sense, but right now, a large amount of people in the US an EV just doesn’t work. Maybe if people’s

Professionally, I work on grid upgrade projects and EV infrastructure, so I actually have a bit of insight into the Grid issue.

Bikes Vs Citroën Ami race

I’m sure a lot of people like these features, but it was the first thing I deleted when I bought my 2020 Tacoma. I have a phone. My vehicle does not need, and I do not want it to have, a connection to the hive-mind.
