This one is on Swinton. Don’t assume that people are nice, and forgiving of you. Apparently, those times are done. Now if you say something offensive, they’ll use it against you as soon as the moment arrives.

It’s not a question of “owing” anybody anything. It’s a question of just not being a shitty person. Generally speaking, if someone asks you to keep something to yourself, the decent thing to do is respect that request, not blab about the whole thing on some guy’s podcast.
Sounds like Cho is probably embellishing a little, either that or Tilda Swinton is a humongous dumbass. I’m guessing the truth lies somewhere in between there.
There’s also the whole magical negro trope problem with the character if an Asian actor had been cast.
Tilda Swinton is one of the most gifted actresses working today. Margaret Cho is a salty, talentless halfwit whose chief marketable skill is best described as an ability to be unfunny in public. Respectfully, I (and many others) disagree.
V for Vendetta is brilliant and powerful, and Hugo Weaving deserved an Oscar for his performance in that film. I’d be curious to see what films you think are “good,” given you don’t like V for Vendetta.
Uhhh, I’d say it’s a good movie.
Because your opinion is decidedly in the minority.
Don’t rest yet. I bet Trump likes this kid’s moxie and gives him a Presidential Pardon. I won’t be satisfied until I hear he is dead, personally.
Loved that movie and the theme about bad government controlling the media and society.
Correct. It isn’t “good,” it’s “great” and “a movie that all Americans should be watching right now.”
Barack Obamas don’t grow on trees. He became a national figure during a time where the Democratic Party’s version of a vibrant and youthful rising star was John Edwards—a guy who never did anything but win one senate term in North Carolina while looking kind of handsome in a completely sleazy southern lawyer kind of…
