Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a giant Xmas gift to geeks because it gave them something massive and new to worship, overly examine, conjecture upon and fight about, which are the things we love most.
Has any movie every had more pre-release baggage than Star Wars The Force Awakens? Expectations, rumors, hype—it…
Actually it wasn’t. Because science. And also embedded links within an article. Also reading comprehension. Also critical thinking.
I agree 100%. The movie was incredible. It moved ahead in a way I thought was plausible. People seem to get confused between the difference of something they do not like and something that is inherently terrible.
That’s fair. I get that he means a lot to you. He means a lot to me too. It WAS super painful to see him die. For what it’s worth I thought Han got a hell of a swan song on everything leading up to his death. He had one last space adventure.
What is tedious is people stating their opinion as if its fact, not providing any insight into anything (including their own opinion), and getting pissy because people don’t see the genius in their comment.
You do have words, don’t you?
Try not to get sucked into these shitheads’ vortex of horseshit.
Applause.
This comment= perfect. Also I bet all the complainers will still see all the rest the movies that come out. Also they probably think they are smart unique kids by saying it is awful. Sometimes greatness is greatness and you aren’t cooler and doesn’t increase your intelligence by ripping on it. This movie isn’t perfect…
This is a great response. It’s impressive how much trolls can hate something they claim to love.
I disagree that he “moved the story forward” and that’s what made the movie disappointing for me. If anything, he moved the story laterally. The frustration, I think, that people have is not that there wasn’t a “happy ending”, it’s that after that happiness ends from the original trilogy, all that’s happened after the…
Maybe when you go see it, you sit down and before the lights go out you look around and notice something. They’re all kinds of people in the room, besides nerds, all types of “casuals”. All these more or less hip people that know NOTHING, they all watch it with smiles on their faces, and at the end everybody loved it,…
Totally fair. Even if you gave it a 0/10, it’s totally valid.
You’re my hero for the day.
*drops mic*
To be honest with you, I wasn’t aware that there’s any intense hatred (admittedly, I haven’t looked). I don’t think it warrants that, certainly. It didn’t feel 100% authentic to me (mostly because of the style changes), but I’m happy enough with the movie to look forward to another, which is high praise from me.
It’s a highly entertaining movie, but Abrams is still an unoriginal parasite.
“haven’t actually watched . . . Indiana Jones”
