There are so many different forms of virulent racism flying about now that it’s impossible to track them all.
That movie is ironically more relevant today then it was then.
Well the magic doesn’t always work both ways.
Also... Benson (Robert Guillame) as an honorable mention. Also bonus points for both him and Morgan Freeman in Lean on Me. Where they had the best black man on black man argument not featuring weapons in the history of cinema.
Tragically missed... he totally fits that trope.
Aunt Jemima
Perfect response. Fascism and Nazism are cancers, ignoring them or tolerating their rise will kill the country.
Counter point:
Statues are to honor people. Draw the line at traitors to the country, and leave the rest up for public debate.
Yeah I would say there is a mark difference between insensivity and racism. A statue can be problematic, without being out and out racist. Roosevelt was the first to have a black man to dinner in the white house, but he also did nothing to defend a company of black soldiers who were convicted unjustly of murder.
Yet here you are arguing semantics about civil war battles and monuments, what the hell dude?
I forgotten more about the civil war then you’ve ever learned.
Starred for the Winston burn!
Oh you’re one of them... damn. I feel almost sad for you man. All this pride over a couple of pathetic encounters of your ancestors desperate struggle to keep black people from being freed.
there were not civil war battles fought
LOL...
Your proud to be from Tampa because of a battle on which the residents were in open rebellion and caused zero casualties and eventually lost?
Why did it take so long to end jim crow... or to give gay people the right to marry... or to exusing sexual assualt by saying ‘boys will be boys’?
Millionsof soldiers died at Shiloh
