This is mega fucked.

Fair.

Banned, just like soap.

Wow now Racist Dave is resorting to ad hominem attacks.

Reviews for this show were insufferable. They absolutely raised the show to a level it never accomplished, and were ridiculously laborious in finding a kind of depth and complexity the show never had. I love the show for what it is, the small details that surely can’t be accidental (the little snippets of memory and

No. This is such a damaging narrative. Most abused people DON’T become abusers and having been abused in the past no excuse for being a shitty human being.

I’m being sexist because I reported how things are at my workplace? ROTFL. FFS, no one expected thm to be that way bc of their gender. They are that way bc they choose to be that way.

Most innocent victims don’t turn around and inflict their pain on others because they don’t have it in them to make others suffer, regardless of, or especially because of what they’ve been through.  I don’t buy this excuse in the least.

So much use of “extraordinary” this and “ordinary” that. We don’t need an artful commentary; it’s just a review. It reminds me of how Todd VanDerWerff would write his reviews of Girls. He’d spend 2/3’s of his reviews ruminating on some BS anecdote before he’d even touch the actual reviews.

How is it a leap? She chose to jostle her way to the front of the movement knowing full well that she had this abusive history. What would make her seek prominence in a movement that did not seek out her leadership specifically?

I’m aware. Sometimes trolls gotta get trolled.

I’m sorry, I had high hopes for this, but this is the most ridiculous series I’ve seen in ages. From Patricia Clarkson’s dinner-theatre Streetcar Named Desire performance (and getting some competition in this episode from Elizabeth Perkins), the ASMR sound design, ‘you’re reading me’, Camille Preaker making certain to

I feel like if this series was more interested in accurate portrayals, there’d be a lot more opioids involved.

Keep in mind this movie isn’t necessarily suffering due to Spacey’s appearance,  but likely because it was/is outright bad.

Well if the WHCD was her high water mark, then no she’s not funny; I say this as a dyed in the wool liberal. The jokes were clumsily written and the delivery was poor.

I wouldn’t say he was a ‘box-office failure’ but he certainly isn’t a box-office draw. Every movie he has been in hasn’t done super great at the box office (excepting Marvel films).

I mean, most women only remember Casino Royale for Craig doing the same thing.

Connery was younger than Craig when he starred in Dr. No, and showed about the same amount of skin in Thunderball. He was also very physically fit for the era, though no one back then was as exaggerated as you’re expected to be today.

Too traumatizing to share the video privately with someone who could potentially do something about it, like say law enforcement, but not traumatizing enough to just not tweet out a bunch of screencapped text messages to literally everyone and bring this huge spotlight down on herself? C’mon man... Like, she

I am neither outraged nor an asshole. I made no assumptions, I merely proposed possible counter-examples to yours. My point was to point out that your conclusions came from a lack of evidence and were based on your uncharitable assumptions.
