In fairness, none of them can be sworn in until they elect a Speaker, so at least they avoid the “of Congress” part of that for a while longer

I think that’s the part that isn’t getting enough attention: A party doesn’t so much control the House by having more members, the Speaker runs it by marshaling the votes of the majority of its members.
