Same. I think the shows are complete garbage, totally unwatchable for me (sorta exception, Grey’s was once a guilty pleasure, but it soon stopped being pleasureful).

I love this speech and really admire Shonda Rhimes, while simultaneously not liking any of the shows she has created. Crazy? Don’t care.
I always liked her because she was in a short-lived, mostly forgotten TV series that I loved called America Gothic.
My sense of practicality always seems to pop up in these situations, so I’m guessing it’s not about race diversity fairness as it is about the ratings threat.
Ironically, Chris Rock said it best: “You lose black America, you lose young America.”
I never liked Big either, but I liked the show when it aired. There’s been a handful of times now that I’ve turned it on when there’s a rerun on E! and I just found it annoying.
Fucking HIMYM. I haven’t watched a rerun since. I’ve YouTubed some fan re-cuts of the final episode, which effectively ends after “And, kids, that’s how I met your mother.” (Baaaah bah bah bah bahhh bah bah bah buhhhh.) Such an improved ending, just brings everything full circle.
Also siding with Aidan. I didn’t mind if Carrie wound up with someone - the truth always was that she wanted to. The character had no desire to be The Single Girl for her entire life, no matter whether or not that’s what Star originally had in mind.
I’m on #teamaidan and thought the whole breakup was a HUGE MISTAKE. And the season could have ended after Miranda had her baby. That episode was PERFECT.
That’s not entirely fair. You’re drawing comparisons between common responsibilities and talent. I agree that writers should become good at writing for both sexes, but writers who write compelling characters of both sexes do deserve recognition. It’s a difference of competence and excellence.
That's one badass assistant principal.
Nothing against Laverne, but I keep thinking of seeing Tim Curry last year when they did a cast reunion and he was in a wheelchair—-makes me sad to think of anyone else in that role. I know each generation has it’s own version of many pieces, but I love him and will always have him in my mind as THE one for that part.
There are a lot of internet tough guys out there.
Ugh. I’m not sure if this makes any sense, but just seeing that he took the time to commit to his blackface(arms and chest, covered as well) makes me even more disgusted and enraged. He really took his time and put in a whole lot of effort(not a single space was left uncovered, it seems). He had time to think, look at…
I miss Lindy every single time I come to Jez. Truly a golden era.
And they made sure to explore how it was actually Miranda’s fault and she was an asshole for not just forgiving him quickly b/c he felt bad about it.
Such a shit show. Just a complete and utter implosion of everything enjoyable and honest about the original series.
Does anyone listen to the podcast, “the worst idea of all time”? They watch the same terrible movie every week for a year and it’s hilarious as they continually tear it apart. They’re doing Sex and the City 2 right now, and it reminds me that MAN that movie was a disappointment. I wish they’d do one more movie to fix…
I was with a dude who liked to finish on my glasses.
edit for clarification: obviously while I was wearing them, not just like...swing over and jizz all over them on my nightstand.
