I’m so used to Gwynne’s delivery of “sometimes dead is better” that my knee-jerk reaction to Lithgow’s delivery was disappointment. However, I let it resonate for a bit in my head and quickly changed my mind. Lithgow’s delivery gives the line the import it is meant to have.
