My “lifestyle” required zero changes when I switched to an EV. Well, except that I haven’t been to a gas station in over a year, and I have cut my energy costs by 90%. Other than that, I’ve made no compromises, exceptions, or changes to accomodate having an EV instead of ICE.

It can be a good practice for another reason. Water collects around the condenser and doesn’t always drain away like it should. This can cause mold growth around the condenser, which will make your air stinky. Turning the A/C off a few minutes before you turn the car off can evaporate the water, preventing that mold…
