I mean, this is like saying Peter Parker witnessing Uncle Ben’s death isn’t run of the mill Spiderman, when that event is what so much about Parker is built off of.

I’ll preface this by saying I’m not familiar with their relationship in the comics...but from what I can remember in the cartoon the abuse in their relationship was predominately emotional. Which, while still unhealthy, was more subtle than him outright beating her.

I'm just offended because there is nothing "thug" about them and they're perpetuating a horrible stereotype of black people. The entire team should be banned on that alone.
