Artemis is a great bridge commander game. You would need at least 3 people to enjoy it though.

Hi I am 'baconspaceprogram' on youtube!
Thanks for featuring my creation. I was inspired to make these 'secret prototype' craft based on suggestions and inspiration from the KSP Facebook community. I found the Roton Rotary Rocket and the Triebflugel fascinating in that they both use powered rotors that don't require…
AngryJoe did a first impression on this game.
As long as they have proper declaration - who manufactured it, best before date, accurate ingredients list, allergens info. :)
I've been to every PAX East so far, and I could count the number of single women at every show combined on one hand. I totally get it, a girl with no chaperone at a gaming con is going to get a lot of (possibly) unwanted attention. But I keep going every year, wondering each time, is this finally the year I meet her?
The cool thing about the ships' design is that they're made for space and not a fluid atmosphere. It's refreshing.
EVE, tied with Warhammer 40K, always had the most wondrous of ship designs. Looking at those massive vessels and all the crap that could be loaded into them, not to mention the building materials that were probably necessary for their construction. Makes your mouth water.
You'd think so, but a lot of people in PAX lines are in groups huddled together, mostly with noses in their smartphones or 3DSes. PAX attendees are very friendly and I've had conversations with people, but also nearly every girl I've met in a line was there with her boyfriend. I don't meet a lot of single people, and…
But here I thought gamers were all these bigoted, violent, misogynistic assholes who wanted to be exclusionary and were mean to everyone!
I always wanted to meet a girl at PAX... I mean, right off the bat you'd think you'd have a lot in common. I just don't know how to break the ice with people in large crowds. That, and I'm in my 30s now, and most of the single girls at PAX are younger.
This video does a good job explaining why its hard to simulate traffic in these games.
See all those trucks backed up? There are fire engines, cop cars, garbage trucks and hearses there. Because they're stuck forever in traffic, despite there being TWO EMPTY LANES, the services they're trying to perform aren't being performed. Meaning that my city, in spite of dozens of fire stations and cemeteries, and…
It doesn't even work in reality. If they found out how to make perfect traffic, they would be in the civil engineering business selling this game $100k a pop to government xD
Oh! One very cool thing for UK/AU/NZ/JAP readers: you can choose which side of the road traffic drives on. A small touch, but an awesome one.
The cause: 35 years of tax cuts for the rich.
Well you people have had years to run fiber to my apartment in Manhattan which is FEET away from an internet backbone (the building google bought to be exact).
Good writeup!
