I agree with you. I was disappointed with CivV when it first came out. I picked up Gods and Kings and thought it was better, but "something" was still missing. I might have to give it another go with this expansion.

I understand what you are saying. TBH my comment was off the cuff and maybe a bit harsh. I spent most of the day yesterday refreshing the store page trying to buy the game. I had thought about pirating it but I managed to find the self control to wait it out, which is what I was urging him to do.
Not completely true. You can build your weapon up by adding cubes to it. Also there are plans for being able to build a house in the future.
once you get to a decent level
The overworld looks great. The dungeons however....
Or, you know, just wait.
Try to help comparing the two. Minecraft is more about building then it is fighting. From what I have played of Cube World so far, it seems that it is more about fighting then building.
Ya, I was able to snag a copy last night around 5pm EST after trying it on and off all day. I wish the game was worth the effort I put into getting it. I cant say I'v been disappointed in what I have played of it so far, but it is not as good as it looked watching people's twitch streams. But, then again, this is…
Ya, the story of Saints Row 3 was bonkers great. It was the first game to really make me feel like I was in the middle of a summer blockbuster.
Yes. I would love to see more e-sports coverage on Kotaku.
My job swings between a few months of boring 40hr week office work to crazy 50+hr field work that can be both physically and mentally exhausting (granted I am not in the best of shape).
To me, games are more about experiencing a story and exploring the world. The repetitive gameplay is just a means to an end which, if done right, has enough variability to not appear so repetitive.
Ah ok. My motherboard does have a optical out but I did not know if I needed any special drivers to give me 7.1 output from it.
I just wish you guys had ported those of us who had stars in the old system to be auto-black in the new system. I think I was commenting for over a year before I got my star finally then it was taken away in the first comment system redesign.
Does that headset get 7.1 on the PC via optical? Do you need a special sound card to get it to work?
Why would that not work with the PS3? It has optical input right?
That looks like it would blend the best of both console and PC worlds. On the PC you have better aiming because of the mouse but only digital movement with WASD. Yet, on the console you have smooth analog movement with the analog sticks but crappy aiming as well.
I'll be the first to admit that I am a bit of a PS4 fanboy. However, you are correct that asymmetrical sticks are 1000x better. For some reason my brain gets confused when trying to play a shooter on the PlayStation...I always get movement and aiming confused but then I can play shooters with the 360 pad almost as…
I keep seeing complaints about game breaking bugs but the two times I played through it I did not encounter any bugs. Well, maybe the occasional enemy getting stuck but nothing even close to game breaking.
It is a GTA alternative. GTA 4 took it's self WAY to seriously, and Saints Row 3 was completely balls to the wall bonkers.
