It only outputs 1 1080p image at (likely) 60fps. The image is split down the middle so each eye gets 1 960x1080 image.

No, you only need to render 1 1080p screen at 60 FPS. The display is divided in 2 halves (left and right half). This actually makes it less intensive to render then standard 3D via something like Nvidia 3DVision (which is rendering 1 1080p screen 2 times as fast).

"Retina" is only a term used to describe the fact that it is hard/impossible to see the individual pixels at a given distance.

It is hard to say. I know when I play third person games on my 3D monitor it feels just fine, if not better, then when I play first person games. Even a game like Deus Ex:HR when you bounce between first and third person fairly often it feels just fine.

Even if it doesn't, I would be more then willing to wear contact lenses to play a Rift.

One of the biggest reasons the PS3's 3D output was capped at 720p is due to the HDMI cable. HDMI 1.4 can only support 720p @ 120FPS. Only HDMI 1.4b can support 1080p @ 120FPS. As far as I know of the PS3 was never upgraded to 1.4b. I would assume the PS4 would use at least HDMI 1.4b if not HDMI 2.0.

I was so tempted to Kickstarter and order one. However it is useless without a Rift and we have no idea when production versions of the Rift will be out.

Actually, you are only partially correct. Yes, it has to render both eyes but the horizontal resolution for each eye is only half of a standard 1080p screen. So really, it would only be slightly more processor intensive.

Ya. A big complaint about the new gen of consoles is the lack of 3D support (or at least it has not been talked about at all). I really enjoy playing some games in 3D and will be on of the first in line for a production Rift.

Those examples are simply time based. The game could compute how long between your last play session and grow the grass or rust things right as you load the save.

What makes me happy most of the time is sleeping and dreaming and living inside of worlds I construct in my head.

That is a larger reply then I expected. I'll try to respond the best I can.

So the choices are

Mind giving me a few names? I did just play this one on my lunch break and found it rather fun.

The biggest problem I have with the "where you want to be in 5 years" thing is all I see is a black hole of misery. I look 5 years into the future and I'll be 33, single, maybe have my student loans paid off, either unemployed because I finally had enough of my job or still working 45-60hrs a week, having plenty of

Good for you. You are one of the .001%.

I'd say a big part of that fear is the lack of comfort. I'v been at my current job for just over 2 years and I'v already gotten way past bored and hating it. However, it does provide plenty of money to pay off student loans, eat what I want to, buy video games and see movies when I want, and still put money in the

Easier said then done. Even more so when the skills you have developed over the past 5+ years are mostly strictly focused on one industry.

Gona give this a try at lunch. Looks interesting.

Are there any Mobile MOBAs? This is the first one I have seen.
