I can’t remember the last time I read such a holier-than-thou post.

She should have been considered to have served 40 years already, since having to live with that kind of abuse is it’s own prison.
Correct. So let’s say you’ve used up your vacation allotment (I think it’s about 14 days for most people, but this is ONLY if you work full time at a company that offers paid time off. If you’re, say, a waitress at a diner, you’re usually SOL.) by November and then you get the flu. Well, too damn bad; you either go to…
It’s so unbelievably awful! I honestly cannot understand how it can be 2016 and the US is still so far behind on this?
You can keep repeating yourself, but it won’t make it true. Maybe actual grownup countries aren’t so paranoid as to make up wars on abstract nouns? You carry on fighting Terror, we’ll be fine here, thanks.
Most Swedes these days are mortified about that. I’ve had people literally apologise to me for not backing us in the war (I’m British). I think a lot of people forget just how vulnerable they were stuck between Russia and Germany - and also how much they quietly helped in the Cold War.
I’m an immigrant to Sweden who doesn’t have kids and I’m more than happy to pay 50% taxes to live in a society that prioritises quality of life.
Someone in Sweden once explained to me that the theory behind their generous parental leave (and let’s not forget subsidised daycare and right to care-of-children days that don’t affect the parent’s own sick days) is that by facilitating the women that they paid to educate (because education here is free up to PHD…
Err, no - Sweden is neutral too.
But everyone in Sweden has been an infant, so they’re paying back into a system they directly benefited from (unless they are immigrants who will never have kids, but most people who move to Sweden probably see social benefits as one of the reasons to move there).
I could never understand it either. Even the most “economic” arguments against paid parental leave don’t make any sense when you factor in the expense of millions of people having to scramble back to work after having children.
I know you all are neutral and all, but would you conquer us? Please.
So we need to start giving a shit about siblings of celebrities now? Or is Austin Swift popular for reasons I’m unaware of?
In 1951, Yolande Betbeze Fox was crowned Miss America. She immediately proceeded to make pageant organizers’ lives…
From her own website:
It makes me laugh that she learned at a young age about masturbation through the wonders of the internet....which led to her being very sex positive, open, and educated....and yet the first reaction is still to block her sister from doing the same thing?
I know the internet is a scary place and lord knows what kids do…
Colbert comes off like a douche here. He told Affleck he looked like he was on a street corner. Now imagine if Colbert insulted the appearance of a female guest, and the guest responded uncomfortably — we would be crucifying Colbert for abusing the power dynamic of host/guest.
Apparently you didn’t get the memo that Taylor is a bad person and must be destroyed.
It’s all so middle school and hating Taylor Swift is so in.
Thank you!
